WEDDING: CALL TO WORSHIP

These are the first words spoken by your officiant, Minister, Justice of the Peace (JP) or Marriage Commissioner.
Usually people are still standing at the end of the processional, when they are asked to stand for the entrance of the bride or couple.

Each new day, God opens doors of potential and hope. We are offered new challenges, a new call to commitment, and a fresh possibility for a deepened relationship with our Creator. Let us worship!
Give thanks to the Lord, for the Lord is good; God’s love is eternal!
God is love, and whoever lives in love lives in God, and God lives in them.
Look to this day! For it is life, the very life of life. In its brief course lie all the verities and realities of your existence: The bliss of growth, the glory of action, the splendor of beauty! For yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision; But today, well lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, And every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well, therefore, to this day!
We worship the God who inhabits our world and dwells in our lives. We need not look up to find God, we need only look around: within ourselves, beyond ourselves, into the eyes of another. Let us worship!
Let us approach God with everything we have and are. Let us open our whole lives to the guidance of God’s Spirit.
